Wednesday, August 6th

Well, we left Rochester MN this morning to a cloudy day.  Interstate 90 through the lower portion in MN leaves much to be desired.  We all felt like we were bobble heads until we got just about all the way to the west side of the state.  We entered into South Dakota and the roads were better.  We are still traveling on I-90, but being in SD did help.  We ran into rain and did quite a bit of traveling in rain, but it wasn't raining too hard.  It was tough driving for the guys today, it was one of our longer days.  We arrived in Mitchell SD, home of the Corn Palace, which it on the list of things to do tomorrow.  Here are a few pictures from today, taken from the truck window of course, with some rain drops showing up also.  We have seen thousands and thousands of acres of corn and soy beans,  I thought maybe we would be out of them when we reached
SD, but there are still lots of them.  We have also been passing a lot of wind mill farms that are generating power.  I would rather see those than any nuclear power plants!

Friday we head to The Badlands in Interior SD.  We will spend 3 full days there and of course, Wall Drug is on the list of things to do there.  Here are a couple of pictures telling us that we are getting nearer to Wall Drug, but I missed getting one that told us how many miles we had to go.
