Yesterday we visited the Gutzon Borglum museum dedicated to the achievements of the sculptor. Borglum at age 60 began the feat of carving Mt. Rushmore. It took about 14 years to complete with the final unveiling performed by Lincoln Borglum the son of the famous sculptor. Unfortunately, Gutzon passed before completion.
Here are views of Mt. Rushmore, again pictures do not do justice to the exhibit:
Walking in where all states, flags and the date they entered union. Included are U.S.A. possessions and protectorates like Guam, Panama Canal area, Puerto Rico and so on.
From left to right should you not be sure: Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln.
Got her when not expecting.
Evening ceremonies include lighting up the 'boys'.
Another appropriate location for the good ole bucket list.
Just hanging out for awhile today, maybe visit to Custer's park or Crazy Horse.
I find it hilarious that my dad's mood is often commented upon......and no one elses mood is worthy of comment. Loving the pictures!
