Our next stop was in the Monroe area of Michigan to see some special friends from New Jersey.  Dave and Karen were our bowling buds back there.  Karen was born and raised in this area of MI. When Karen retired from BASF it was understood she and Dave (Dave of course doesn't remember)would return to her family and home.

Anyway we spent Thursday evening having a fantastic Italian dinner (who knew there were good restaurants west of Virginia).  After filling our bellies full we had dessert back at Karen and Dave's.

Friday was spent riding around the area viewing the local fair while Walt and Sherry waited for a call that a new set of tires for the RV were in (been there done that).  Dave grilled some delicious steak for dinner followed by Karen's favorite box cake, mmmmm.

It's Saturday morning and we are getting ready to move to our next stop which will terminate Sunday in the UP of Michigan to visit some friends from our camping club.

By the way Bob was a little grumpy this morning as he was not looking forward to the ongoing drive.  The roadways leave a lot to be desired here, I promise not to find fault with our byways back in VA.
